My dad, Hal Hartglass was a great bowler in his younger days, bowling 3 nights a week. He competed in the 1968 Pro Am Madison Square Garden National Championship. Later all his bowling shirts, including the one from Madison Square Garden, were donated to a neighbor collecting clothes to send to Poland. Somehow the Madison Square Garden bowling shirt got into the hands of rock star Freddie Mercury and it was reportedly one of his favorites. We found it via an accidental google search around my dad's 75th birthday when it was hanging in the Hard Rock Cafe in Shanghai. Now it hangs in the Hard Rock Cafe in Bahrain. You can see the shirt here: http://memorabilia.hardrock.com/?item=068117. Unfortunately, Freddie Mercury is no longer with us, but my dad, who is now 84, recently joined a league at 300 Long Island in Melville, NY. I started telling this story again a few months ago when my dad told me he bowled a 217. I was blown away. But he keeps getting better. Just last week he bowled a 224! Photos of the shirt can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2854496075810.248038.1061819531&type=3&l=7911138c6a

Awesome story! I wonder if HRC would consider returning the shirt to your dad? LOL

A quick update. Dad bowled a 286 today, his highest game ever, 10 strikes in a row.

Amazing Caryn that your Dad is still active and bowling well at 84 years old. I am 71 and still averaging in the low 200's. Hope I am still around and bowling as well as him if I make it to 84. Glad to see a daughter still proud of her Father.
