Lorrelle's Bowling Website
Home Page

Hi,
I am Linda Lorrelle O'Neal, team captain and sponsor of Lorrelle's Fabrics bowling team. This has been a sad week for our team, our league, and personally, for me. We lost one of our members this past week. Carolyn Ball passed away on January 23. She was well-loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. She was my bowling partner in state tournament and city tournament doubles and my best friend for about 12 years. In fact, the photo is a picture of Carolyn and myself at our 1999-2000 state tournament. She is the lady on your right.
As for my bowling-my average runs around 150. We bowl on Tuesday nights with the Stardust League in Bristol, VA. We have a great time and really enjoy it.

Hey Linda, did you get my phone #?  Not sure if you have heard the glorious news or not, but we had 2 teams from our house bowl the TNWBA this past weekend.  They said it was HORRIBLE.  Now granted we don't bowl in a new, up to date house ourselves, but they told me they would think twice about bad mouthing our house.  One of my friends said she had a 389.  Her average is well close to 170.  We got our shirts last night.  I guess if we don't bowl good, by golly at least we will look good!

Just found out last night, we are staying at the Microtel in Jackson too.  I sent you my phone # in an email.  Would love to meet you while we are there!!  That would be soo cool.
Take Care

Hey Linda.  It's getting close to time to travel!!!  Have you seen the new TNWBA shirts this year?  We got ours at the state meeting this past weekend.  They are made like the pink ones from last year, but this year they are purple with the TN iris on it.  They look nice.  We have a couple of teams bowling this weekend.  I let you know the feedback when I get it!!  Take care.

Great photos Linda.  Great looking bunch of kids.  Loved the first page.  Reminds me of "scrapbooking" which I love to do.  Don't worry about the goof up.  You know you can go in there and fix it even if you make a mistake.  I kinda thought it was cute to be honest.  Not sure where we are staying during state tourney.  The girl I bowl with co-ordinated the state trip.  All I know is I have a room and what time I bowl.  I did the Nationals trip.  I think she got the easy job.  Only 5 people to state and 1 night.  Ha, I've got 12 people, 4 cars, 1 to pick up at the airport in Detroit and 4 nights to co-ordinate.  At least I've got it all done and confirmed with the exception I have already had to replace 2 bowlers with subs.  One has a last years average, the other will be going on current average.  Like I said on one of my pages, tournament entries is sure simplified over the years, but getting someone to commit and stand behind their commitment is a major challenge.  Also, I know you asked how I did in the TNBA tourney this weekend.  Well, it is now posted on my blog for last week.  I refuse to get on your home page and say I bowled a 110.  Ooops  Did I just say that?  I HAD A GREAT TIME!!  Need I say more!!!   Susan

Okay "Linda".  Give me a big fat "L" for calling you Lorrelle.   Duh, that's about as funny as you posting comments to me on YOUR homepage!!!    Oh well, friends can do dumb things right?  I'm glad you are going to get to go to state this year.  In all honesty, I wasn't really wanting to go this year.  It is so far, (and even farther for you) and the 2 houses are so far apart.  I think it is about time we get that tourney back to East Tenn. don't you agree?  When you are traveling across I-40 on your way to Jackson and you are crossing the river and see the HUGE smoke stacks (and you will know them when you see them), then think of me, because you will be passing thru my hometown.  Maybe soon you can make a trek to the Nationals.  We go to Reno next year.  I encourage everyone to try and make at least one Nationals tournament, and Reno is one of the best ones to attend.  Because, after you do one, you will start making your plans for the next years.

Hi Susan,
No-won't be doing Detroit or Oakridge. We do good to get away for the state tournament every year. I am really looking forward to the tournament this year. I had surgery last year and I came home from the hospital the day my team was driving down for the tournament. So I didn't even get to at least go along to cheer them on. I was so disappointed I cried. I had already missed half the season due to my problem and felt like I was letting the team down. Anyway-one year when the kids are older I may be able to go to another tournament besides state.

Hey Lorrelle, Yea looks like you are bowling in the "other" house on Sat. during State tourney.  And no worries, I understand about being at the mercy of another driver.  Are you going to Detroit?  We are going in April.  What about the TNBA this weekend in Oak Ridge/Knoxville?  Are you bowling?  I bowl Sat. at 2:00 in Oak Ridge.  Talking about the midnight bowl.  Yea, sounds just like the Monte Carlo bowl we did.  We got tickets throughout the night too.  I guess that would be considered gambling in TN now hunh?  It was always fun.  We would bowl the Friday night Mixed league, then do the Monte Carlo bowl, and then walk next door to catch the $1.00 midnight movie at the theater.  It was always so much fun.  Young, single, and could stay awake past 10:00.    Bowl Good.  Susan
